continuous gravimetric dosing feeder
The continuous gravimetric dosing feeder is a gravimetric additive feeder to accurately feed additive(s) into the main material flow at the feed throat of the processing machine. As it weighs the amount of material as it feeds there is no need for calibration when changing materials or additive rates, simply set the additive rate required and it’s good to go.
The continuous gravimetric dosing feeder uses a variable speed drive on an auger to feed the additive from a weighed storage hopper. It monitors the loss in weight of this hopper to continually fine tune itself. Monitoring hopper weight also allows for alarm detection when running out of material or for detecting problems feeding the additive.
The continuous gravimetric dosing feeder can operate in discontinuous “shot” mode, suitable for injection moulding, or in “continuous” mode for extrusion use. An extruder RPM input can be fed into the doser to allow automatic compensation of additive rate following extruder speed change.
Various auger screw/barrel sizes are available to accomodate capacities from 1 to 50 kg/hr.
Comes complete with integral Venturi hopper loader for automated loading of the hopper.
